IN-HOUSE EVERYTHING
All our jewellery pieces are handcrafted at our studio in Jaipur, where we carry the entire process in-house- from design to the plating. The Pink City of Jaipur is arguably the gemstone and jewellery capital of the world. We get an added advantage of sourcing the finest materials and working with the most skilled craftsmen, all so close to home. The result is fine jewellery that is authentic to our creators and a delight to our wearer- you. Read on to explore the steps of how the magic unfolds at our studio.
INSPIRATION
We derive inspiration for our designs by being observant. Our finished jewellery is an amalgamation of modern and contemporary designs combined with traditional methods of artisanry. We don’t rely on one thing and our inspiration comes from various sources- near and far. Our team of designers come from diverse backgrounds of art. We then find the common thread in our design processes to create collections that stand apart.
We are collectors of stories. And we are finding one everywhere- in nature, in architecture, in our own roots of the past or in trends of the coming season. Just like stories are told with emotion, we make sure each piece we design holds the same value of emotion.

DESIGNING
Once we have laid out an idea or inspiration for a collection, we move on to sketching these ideas on paper. Our detailed sketches have all the information, from the cut or the size of the gemstones to final finishes and that’s how we ensure a piece’s precision. These sketched designs are then drawn to be made real on CAD (computer-aided design). This is where we can virtually see its 3D form and how a piece will look when given life. Any required changes in the design are done at this step.
MAKING THE JEWELLERY
Our jewellery is made using recycled 925 Sterling Silver. From the finalized and detailed sketch, it then goes to being carved in wax. This wax model must be very precise and flawlessly detailed because this forms the base for the final jewellery. We create a wax tree and use the plaster-like form over it and bake it in the oven to get a final design impression. Once this is ready, melted silver is poured in at the right temperature to cast the design shape. The metal flows and fills in to take the details before it cools down. After the silver hardens, the mould is cracked and individual pieces are removed to be sent for finishing. We finish our Sterling Silver jewellery with Rhodium-polishing which holds the secret to its non-tarnishing properties and the longevity of your beloved pieces.

All gemstones and diamonds we use are sustainably and ethically sourced using the best practices. Our artisans handcraft them into desired shapes and polish them. The entire process of jewellery making is carried out at home- the La Soula studio and procured from the city itself which gives us an edge over the quality and pricing by eliminating the role of middlemen. PACKAGING
At La Soula, we consider packaging just another extension of the whole jewellery making process. We pack all your jewellery pieces with tender love and care in individual leaves for safety. These leaves are then placed in a jewellery box together with an anti-tarnish slip and a warranty card.
